Swedish Airport Authority is deploying radio frequency identification (RFID) tags in taxi fleets to monitor and manage demand on behalf of arriving passengers who need transport away from the airport. The TagMaster system has been integrated with the SkiData access control system at the Ängelholm and Bromma Airports, allowing taxi companies convenient access to the pick-up terminals. This way the travelers can feel safe and avoid unauthorized taxi business due to the fact that only authorized taxis are allowed to pick up people at the airport.
