Parking & Building Access all in one at a leading real estate firm in Southern California

Tacoma, Washington | Jan. 21, 2010 - TagMaster North America, Inc., the leading provider of long-range and high-performance Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems for Automatic Vehicle Identification (AVI)announced that its system has been in successful operation for close to 2 years at a leading real estate firm with over 6 decades of experience managing multipurpose, office, R&D and industrial properties in Southern California. Through integration of a seamless AVI system using TagMaster LR-6 Readers and CombiTags, SAS Access Systems, a San Diego-based systems integrator of parking control and building access systems, stepped up to the challenge of a streamlined approach that provides easy parking and building access using one card while maintaining compatibility with the existing Lenel and HID infrastructure as well as improving parking controls and manageability.

Prior to installation, only building access was controlled. There were no controls in existence for parking access at the firm’s San Diego, Ca. parking facility. With no gates, anyone could drive in and park. With no controls in place, tenants and their customers freely parked in non-designated areas and exceeded their allocated
spaces, leading to operational mayhem. One other consequence: other tenants and their customers could not find the parking spaces they were expecting.
A total of 10 LR-6 PassMan Readers and 4,000 CombiTags - in tandem with Magnetic Automation gates – comprised the system installed. After gaining convenient, quick, and reliable hands-free garage parking access through the TagMaster CombiTag, tenants use the same card to enter the building by presenting it at designated
proximity readers.

Parking facility control and management has been substantially improved, which is expected to generate higher rates in both tenant retention and new tenancy due to enhanced benefits in parking availability and convenience.
With the use of only one card, high-profile tenants and their customers continue to experience higher levels of convenient hassle-free parking and building access.
